Local military families will gather on Ford Island Saturday, May 27 at noon to walk the Historical Trail together, honoring the sacrifices of our nation's heroes, in the true spirit of Memorial Day.
We'll meet at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum to walk the Historial "Blue Dot" Trail together. This is a family-friendly, dog-friendly event, must register to attend. Limited parking is available at PHAM, reserve a parking pass with your free registration. This event requires that your group/family have clearance to access Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Carry The Load is a non-profit organization that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices made daily by our military, veterans, first responders, and their families. What started in 2011 as a grassroots effort by two veteran U.S. Navy SEALs to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day has now grown into a nationwide movement with people volunteering throughout the year to honor and remember our nation’s heroes.
Carry The Load has been walking across 48 states for 11 years. This event is the first official CTL event to be held in the state of Hawaii. What better location than Ford Island, to walk the historical "Blue Dot" trail together? We are keeping this event very simple, with no big fanfare, no bounce houses, or balloons. It will be fun, but reverent and meaningful. Note, there will be NO fundraising or donation requests at this event.
This event is hosted by Transition Skills Training, Inc. a national nonprofit partner of Carry The Load, and a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to make the transition from military service to civilian life easier for veterans and their families.
This event is sponsored by the Armed Services YMCA Hawaii and Skills After Service organizations. We also appreciate additional support provided by the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum as well.
Make sure you register to join us on Saturday, May 27th!
